“It Doesn’t Really Bother Me” Championship Starlet Responds To Claims That Celtic And Liverpool Are Chasing Him

Hamilton centre-back Jamie Hamilton has said he has heard nothing about a potential move away from New Douglas Park.

Celtic and Liverpool are said to be among more than a dozen clubs across Scotland and England keen on signing the Scottish Championship player, but Hamilton says he doesn’t really concern himself with such speculation:

“Personally, I don’t look into a lot of it as I play for Hamilton. I’m at Hamilton right now so I am not looking too much into anything else. Hamilton is all that I am focusing on. It doesn’t really bother me too much as I don’t read a lot of it. If the gaffer is calling it pub chat, then that’s all it is.”

Hamilton would be one for the future if he were to make the switch to Parkhead so, despite the defender’s comments, it’s probably not wise to completely rule out a bid from the Hoops.

However, if reports down south are to be believed, there will be a lot of competition for the 19-year-old. Whilst Aberdeen and Hibs are Celtic’s likeliest rivals in terms of Scottish teams, Liverpool, Brighton, Newcastle, Burnley, Brentford, Middlesbrough, Barnsley, Blackburn, Blackpool,  and Sunderland are also thought to be potential suitors. Whether there is any truth to these claims, it remains to be seen.
