“It’s 5:0!’ Thierry Henry Singles Out Celtic Ace For Criticism After Seeing What He Did Against Real Madrid

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry wasn’t too impressed that Celtic winger Jota celebrated his goal in the 5-1 defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday evening.

The Portuguese forward struck a well-taken free-kick with six minutes left on the clock but, with the Hoops already well beaten, Henry was surprised by the player’s reaction to scoring:

“Jota celebrated that goal. Really?! Oooh, I mean. That’s true (scoring at the Bernabeu). But it’s 5-0!”

It’s a slightly harsh take by Henry. As he says himself, it isn’t very often that you score a goal at the Bernabeu so he was well within his rights to be pleased.

Nobody expected Ange Postecoglou’s side to get anything from the game, but it was another disappointing loss in the group stages.

Two points from six matches is Celtic’s worst return in the competition so the Scottish champions need to lick their wounds and make sure that lessons are learned from this campaign. Hopefully, Jota will be celebrating with a match-winning free kick in the future.
