Kenny Dalglish Makes Celtic Title Claim After Seeing Transformation Under Postecoglou

Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish is expecting a close title race between his former club and Rangers this season.

Although he did witness the Hoops lose to their Glasgow rivals last weekend, Dalglish claims the Scottish club have come on leaps and bounds in recent months under the guidance of new manager Ange Postecoglou:

“All in all, if you look at where Celtic were six weeks ago to where they are now, they are clearly in a better place. The league games between Celtic and Rangers are usually decisive, but we will see if that remains the case come May. For me, it is going to be tight. There will not be 25 points between the sides after 38 games as there was last season.”

Postecoglou has certainly got his team playing some good football, and they were pretty unlucky to lose at Ibrox last Sunday. It could have been so different if Odsonne Edouard had not missed a sitter in the first half.

Considering a number of Celtic’s new signings have not even settled in yet, you have to think that the team’s performances will improve further in the coming weeks and months.

Whether it will be enough to close the gap at the top of the table and clinch another league title, though, we shall have to wait and see.
