Key Celtic Star’s Availability For Cup Final Clash Now Hanging In The Balance

Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi underwent scans on Tuesday to determine the seriousness of a shoulder injury, according to reports.

The Japanese international has not taken part in training this week, and he is unlikely to face Aberdeen this weekend.

However, Kyogo is said to be still confident that he will be available to play against Rangers in the League Cup final at the end of the month.

Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou will be desperately hoping that scans don’t uncover a more significant problem with the striker’s shoulder.

Kyogo has been a vital player for Celtic this season, having racked up 22 goals and four assists in 33 appearances. If he isn’t back in time for the clash at Hampden Park, Postecoglou will have a big decision to make.

Oh Hyeon-gyu would be the logical replacement but the South Korean has not started a match for the Scottish champions since arriving from Suwon Bluewings during the January transfer window.
