Kieran Tierney Names Celtic Legend As The “Best Player” He Has Played With

Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney has picked his former Celtic teammate Scott Brown as the “best player” he has played alongside in his career so far.

Despite having a whole host of Gunners stars to choose from, including the likes of Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Tierney opted for Broony, mainly due to the inspiration he was as a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room:

“The best player that I’ve played with would be Scott Brown from Celtic. I think as an influential player on and off the pitch he has it all, he’s the perfect captain and someone that any player in the world could learn from.”

Tierney was only ever going to pick Brown. Despite all the other players he has played with in his career up until now, the Celtic legend was a key figure in helping him learn the ropes when he broke into the first team.

Brown was a force of nature on the pitch, dragging his team towards victories in unlikely situations, whilst enforcing standards that helped the club achieve unprecedented levels of success domestically. He had a huge effect on Tierney as well as on many others who played for the Hoops.
