Latest Celtic Injury News: Updates On The Availability Of TEN Players Ahead Of The Derby

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Greg Taylor is available to face Rangers on Monday.

The fullback sustained a muscular injury in the 4-0 win over Hibernian last week but he is expected to be in the starting lineup for the Glasgow derby.

Jota was on the bench for the Hibs match after recovering from a virus so the Portuguese winger is also likely to be recalled, but Sead Haksabanovic (foot) and Anthony Ralston (ankle) have been ruled out.

The injury to Ralston does place greater importance on Alistair Johnston being eligible for selection. Although his transfer has been made official today, paperwork means he may not be registered for the Gers clash in time.

Josip Juranovic is, therefore, likely to start his first game since the World Cup, with the Croatian having returned to the substitutes bench against Hibs.

Stephen Welsh and James McCarthy (hamstring) have been ruled out of contention, as has Tomoki Iwata, who is still in Japan. Yuki Kobayashi may also be a doubt due to similar registration issues to Johnston.
