Latest Celtic Injury Report Ahead Of The Europa League Clash Against Valencia

Celtic have a number of injury concerns heading into tomorrow’s Europa League first-leg encounter against Valencia at Parkhead.

Oliver Burke twisted his ankle in the 5-0 win over St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup on Sunday. Manager Brendan Rodgers seems confident that the West Brom loanee will overcome the problem.

Olivier Ntcham is fit after recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up against Rangers in December, but he was absent at the weekend due to illness. The Frenchman will likely return to the matchday squad tomorrow but his extended absence from the first team means he’s unlikely to start.

Jozo Simunovic should also be back in contention after an illness forced him off at half-time against St Johnstone, with Odsonne Edouard also in line to make his first start since December’s defeat against Hibernian.

The fitness of Kieran Tierney has also been a topic of conversation in the past few days. The left-back has not played for two months due to a hip injury but he is now back in training. Whether Brendan Rodgers will choose to risk the 21-year-old after such a long absence, it remains to be seen.

Tom Rogic (knee), Filip Benkovic (ankle) and Leigh Griffiths (personal leave) all remain out of contention for the Valencia clash.
