Latest Celtic Injury Report: Updates On Four Stars Ahead Of Cup Final

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that the Hoops are sweating over the fitness of Odsonne Edouard ahead of next weekend’s Betfred Cup final against Rangers.

The Frenchman sat out the 3-1 win over Rennes last week and the 4-1 victory against Ross County yesterday, and Lennon says he will not play versus Hamilton in the league on Wednesday night:

“It’s not necessary. You don’t want to take a chance with it. He may or may not be fit we will monitor it day by day.”

Lennon also provided updates on three other players. Mohammed Elyounoussi (foot) has not played since returning injured from the last international break but he is on course to make his comeback to full training by Thursday at the latest.

Jonny Hayes has sat out the last two games with a shoulder injury but Lennon believes he should be “fine” to play. It is not such good news for Boli Bolingoli, though.

The Belgian has been struggling with a hamstring injury since the start of last month and is rated as a major doubt for next weekend.
