Latest Celtic Injury Report: Updates On The Fitness Of NINE Players

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou says he must have “walked under a ladder” due to the number of injuries in the first-team squad.

The latest to go down with a knock is Giorgos Giakoumakis who injured his calf in the warm-up before the 3-0 win over Raith Rovers in the League Cup on Thursday night. No return date has been given.

Jota was also seen hobbling during the second half of the same game. Postecoglou has, however, played down fears that he could miss the match against Dundee United tomorrow.

Kyogo Furuhashi (knee) has been pictured back in light training but he is still not expected to return before the international break, even though there is a small possibility he could feature versus Aberdeen.

Captain Callum McGregor is definitely out for tomorrow and he is also a major doubt for the Europa League clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

Mikey Johnston has picked up a knock, and the winger is not likely to return anytime soon. James Forrest (muscular) and Christopher Jullien (knee) are, though, on track to be in full training by the middle of next month.

Greg Taylor’s shoulder surgery means the earliest we will see him in action again is November, while Karamoko Dembele is sidelined for the long term.
