Lazio’s key playmaker Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has said he is excited to play against Celtic at Parkhead tomorrow night after hearing good things about the fans and the stadium.

The Italian club face the Hoops in a Europa League group stage match, with the result likely to determine who takes control of the group, but Milinkovic-Savic can’t wait to experience the atmosphere generated by the home crowd:

“The game at Celtic will not be an easy one – and I am ready for a big atmosphere. To play in special stadiums, in big atmospheres is part of the joy of playing in Europe. It is not something to be nervous of – but something to be excited by.”

Whether the Serbian international will be as complimentary about the stadium, following the game, we shall have to wait and see.

Hoops supporters will be looking to make as much noise as possible in order to push their team over the line. Neil Lennon’s side are currently top of the group following a draw and a win from their first two games.

A win tomorrow evening could be important as they travel to Italy in their next fixture. The three points would certainly strengthen Celtic’s prospects of reaching the knockout rounds.
