Ligue One Club Ready To Reject Approach From Celtic For 4.2M Netherlands International

Stade Brestois are prepared to reject a loan bid from Celtic if they make an offer for goalkeeper Marco Bizot during the January transfer window, according to reports in France.

The Netherlands international only joined the Ligue One side from AZ Alkmaar for just below €5m (around £4.2m) in August but there is already speculation about his future.

Brest are reportedly only willing to let Bizot leave if the Hoops include a mandatory clause to buy the 30-year-old at the end of the season.

The shot-stopper, who was given his one and only cap for the Netherlands in November last year, was a top performer for AZ last campaign, helping them to a third-place finish.

Bizot’s form since arriving in France, though, has come under the spotlight, with Celtic seemingly willing to provide him with an exit route.

Considering he is only four years younger than current number one Joe Hart, it seems clear that, if he were to move to Parkhead, the Dutchman would be competing for a place in the starting lineup.
