‘Looks Great’ ‘If We Sell Matt O’Riley, He Should Be His Replacement’ Fans React As Celtic Target Impresses On International Duty

Maccabi Tel Aviv attacking midfielder Oscar Gloukh scored on his first start for Israel in their 3-2 friendly defeat to Cyprus at the weekend.

The 18-year-old was linked with a move to Celtic during the summer transfer window and fans on Twitter believe he could become a target for the Hoops once again in January:

Gloukh was the subject of interest from a number of European clubs before signing a new contract last month but reports suggest that a release clause €7m (£6m) was included in the deal.

Whether Celtic would be tempted to make an approach at that price, it is unknown. Manager Ange Postecoglou already has plenty of options in the middle of the park but if someone like Matt O’Riley were sold, then a move for Gloukh may well be considered.

O’Riley has been linked wit a whole host of clubs in England, including Leicester, Newcastle, Crystal Palace Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.
