Michael Stewart Thinks Celtic Ace Is Better Than Morelos And Gives One Big Reason Why

Former Hearts midfielder turned pundit Michael Stewart believes Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard is superior to Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos at this moment in time.

Speaking about who he would pick if he had to choose between the two players, Stewart explained that Edouard’s ability to score in the big games would be the deciding factor:

“Edouard has come up in big games. Morelos, against Celtic, he’s not really done the business yet in those bigger games. Granted, in Europe, he’s still scored some pretty good goals for Rangers. But if it’s a Scottish Cup Final and I was picking one, I would marginally go for Odsonne Edouard.”

Edouard has scored in four Old Firm derbies in the last three seasons and also got on the scoresheet as Celtic beat Hearts in the Scottish Cup final last May.

In terms of trophies, the Frenchman already has two trebles to his name compared Morelos who has yet to win silverware with Rangers.

Big players make a name for themselves in big games and Stewart thinks the “big game” mentality that Edouard possesses is what separates him from the Colombian.

He has already made an excellent start to his third season at Parkhead, having bagged five goals in his first six Premiership appearances.
