Celtic boss Neil Lennon retains the backing of the club’s board even though recent results have put the prospect of ten league titles in a row in jeopardy.
It remains to be seen whether the result in tonight’s game against Sparta Prague will alter the club’s thinking but, despite the Green Brigade’s banner and statement, it has not affected Lennon’s position as it stands.
Supporters on Twitter are divided on whether they should continue to support Lennon. Some believe that as the board have made their decision, the Irishman deserves their backing, while others feel they must continue to back change in order to save the club’s chances of winning ten in a row:
Sadly the response of the board is akin to moving the deck chairs on the Titanic

Desmond & Lawwell should realise if this season's a disaster which now looks on the cards I think season ticket sales will halve next year at the very least.

Horse has bolted sleepwalking to loosing 10 self inflicted barkas? No words should moved heaven and earth for this season 2 or 3 seasons ago instead typical sitting on our hands agree alarm bell cl mess hoping rangers fold not good enough

So let’s do it and circle the wagons , a massive period of football on the horizon. We are a club like no other , in NL we have a more than capable manager.

As much as I want Lennon gone the board have backed him and won’t sack him so we have no choice but to get behind him and the team and hope for the best sad as it may seem

Backing Celtic will and must always happen. However, what's happening is our enthusiasm is collapsing. Similar to how we felt in the 90s or the Tony Mowbray season. If the board loses the supporters, it takes years to rebuild that trust and for 10IAR, we have days to fix this.

My fear is, there’s a poison about the club just now that’s only going to get worse. The GB banner and statement, which I would agree with, is going to either make you defend Lennon more or call for him to be sacked more vociferously.

I.m prepared to support the man until he leaves.

Results in the coming days and weeks may yet change Dermot Desmond and Peter Lawwell’s mind on the manager’s future but time is of the essence. Celtic may be 11 points behind Rangers in the table but, with two games in hand, the situation is still salvageable. If things are allowed to drift for too long, though, the likelihood of catching their Glasgow rivals will diminish further.
