Leicester are set to win the race to sign Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, according to TEAMtalk. The website reports that the Frenchman is “almost certainly heading” to the King Power Stadium, with the Foxes having seen off a number of rivals to secure his services.

It remains to be seen how accurate the report is but, if true, it would mean that former manager Brendan Rodgers has beaten the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham to snap up the 23-year-old.

No price is mentioned by TEAMtalk, and that is a crucial piece of information which Celtic fans would like to know, considering it is believed the Hoops could owe a significant percentage of any transfer fee to Edouard’s previous club Paris Saint-Germain.

With one year remaining on his contract, the France Under 21 international, who has scored 21 goals in all competitions this season, was always likely to leave Parkhead, and it appears we now know his destination.
