‘Nice To See Some Loyalty’ ‘Going Nowhere’ Fans Delighted As Agent Rubbishes Reports Of Celtic Playmaker’s EPL Switch

The agent of Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic has dismissed claims that he could be moving to Leicester City or Southampton this summer.

The Australian international is reportedly a target for former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers, but when asked about the rumours, Rogic’s representative Daniel Berman said:

“I’ve had no contact from Southampton or Leicester. Tom is on a long contract, is winning trophies, respects and loves the institution that is Celtic Football Club. For him, it’s all about the treble Treble.”

Fans on Twitter are pleased that the 26-year-old is staying put:

Rogic only signed a new contract at Celtic last May and currently has four years left to run on his current deal. The Australian has struggled for fitness this campaign, after having to undergo knee surgery earlier this year.

It was, therefore, a surprise when reports surfaced earlier this week of interest from the Premier League, with the attacking midfielder reportedly available for £15m.

Certainly, Rogic’s agent comments don’t completely rule out a summer move, but it seems clear that a switch away from Celtic Park is not very likely at the moment.
