Ntcham And Sinclair To Start: Celtic’s Predicted XI To Face Nomme Kalju

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said a number of players will be rested for the second leg of their Champions League qualifier against Nomme Kalju this evening.

With the Hoops 5-0 up from the first leg, he says the club can afford to rotate their starting lineup with the beginning of the Premiership not far away:

“I’d imagine that Christopher Jullien will probably play. He has a great chance of starting. It is an opportunity of getting a good 90 minutes into him to get him up and running. Lewis Morgan and Scott Sinclair, too, we will look at the squad.”

Jozo Simunovic is suspended for the opening league fixture of the season against St Johnstone so he’ll likely start alongside Jullien in the centre of defence.

Callum McGregor and James Forrest have not even flown out to Tallinn, so the likes of Lewis Morgan and Olivier Ntcham will likely get opportunities to start.

New signing Boli Bolingoli Mbombo will also not feature due to illness so Jonny Hayes will deputise in the continued absence of Kieran Tierney.

It will probably be a toss-up between Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard upfront. The pair started together in the first leg, but Lennon’s confirmation that both Morgan and Sinclair will start in Estonia suggests a 4-3-3 rather than a 3-5-2 system.
