Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou will be considered as a potential replacement for Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, according to The Times.
The Australian is believed to be on a five-man shortlist to succeed the former Chelsea head coach, whose explosive press conference after the 3-3 draw against Southampton put him on the verge of the sack.
Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner, Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Mauricio Pochettino are the other names reportedly being considered.
You would have to think that Postecoglou won’t be the leading candidate, despite his achievements during his time in Scotland.
On top of that, the 57-year-old has never expressed any interest in leaving Celtic Park, especially midseason, so the likelihood of him leaving and moving to Spurs is very unlikely at this stage.
It’s not the first time that Postecoglou has been linked with a job in England over the last six months, with Wolves, Everton, Leicester and Leeds all having been mentioned as potential suitors.
