Rangers Vs Celtic Scottish Cup Semi-Final: Match Preview And Injury News

Celtic and Rangers are set to clash yet again in the current season – this time, they will do battle in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at the Ibrox Stadium. The game is set to kick off at 1:30 on Sunday, April 30.

Celtic are set to be without James Forrest for their game against the Gers – on top of this, Liel Abada, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Reo Hatate and Jota are all doubts. However, all four could be fit to play on Sunday.

In their last game, Celtic hit a minor stumbling block as they could only pick up a draw against Motherwell. The Bhoys started the game well, going 1-0 up thanks to Callum McGregor, but the Well hit back in the second half. They struck on the 55th minute with a goal from Kevin Van Veen – the Celts failed to find a winner and had to settle for a stalemate.

Meanwhile, Rangers floundered to a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Aberdeen. It was a poor display from the Light Blues, as Liam Scales and Bojan Miovski condemned them to an ignominious defeat on the road.

In the last Old Firm derby, which took place earlier in the month, Celtic won in a 3-2 thriller. Kyogo Furuhashi and James Tavernier both scored a brace – in the end, it was a deft finish from Jota that made the difference.
