Celtic have decided to cut forward Odsonne Edouard’s asking price from £40m to £25m, according to the Football Insider.
The website claims there are two factors that have influenced the Hoops’ decision. The France Under 21 international is now inside the final eighteen months of his contract at Parkhead, while his poor form this season means his value has depreciated further.
Edouard is unlikely to sign an extension, meaning a departure at the end of the season is likely and, with the 22-year-old having recently moved agent, it is assumed that the player is angling for a switch away from Parkhead in the near future.
Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan have been mentioned as possible destinations over the past week or so, while the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have also been linked. Whether the new price tag will attract bids from any of these teams in the summer, we shall have to wait and see.
