Rodgers Eyeing Deal For Wantaway Celtic Ace As Four EPL Clubs Circle

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is plotting a move for Celtic attacking midfielder Ryan Christie, according to 90min.com.

The Foxes are looking for a replacement for Demarai Gray and they have identified the Hoops’ playmaker as a possible option, alongside Reading’s Michael Olise.

Christie is currently unwilling to sign a new contract, with manager Neil Lennon having said that the player is looking for a new challenge. With his current deal expiring in 2022, it means the Scottish champions may have to reluctantly sell the midfielder next summer.

Leicester are not the only team keeping tabs on the 25-year-old, though, with Leeds, Newcastle and Southampton also tracking the player, but it remains to be seen which club will actually make a formal approach for the midfielder.

Christie has had his critics this season for putting in some below-par displays but he scored another crucial goal yesterday as Celtic won the Scottish Cup final against Hearts.
