Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis has been the subject of interest from English Premier League clubs “in the last few days”, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist says the Greek international’s form has gained him many admirers south of the border but the Scottish champions have made it known that the forward isn’t for sale:
There were clubs interested in Georgios Giakoumakis as he’s doing great with Celtic, also approached by Premier League clubs in the last few days. Celtic have absolutely no intention to sell him: untouchable. 🟢🇬🇷 #Celtic
He’s key player – also, Giakoumakis is happy at Celtic.

It seems like Giakoumakis will almost certainly be staying put this summer. Romano’s confirmation that the 27-year-old is “happy” at the club means there is no chance that he will force an exit before the transfer window closes.
After a difficult start to life at Celtic Park due to injury problems, Giakoumakis has since proven to be an excellent addition to Ange Postecoglou’s squad. Both his physicality and aerial threat offer the team something different in attack.
The Greek’s scoring record is also superb, having bagged 18 goals in only 15 starts for the Hoops.
