Ross County Vs Celtic: Match Preview & Injury News

After a fruitful international break for the Scottish national team, Celtic will be looking to hit the ground running once again as they take on Ross County.

Celtic have a number of injury doubts ahead of their clash with Malky Mackay’s men. Among them are Reo Hatate, Aaron Mooy, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Greg Taylor.

The latter two were recently seen training with the first team, while the former pair were absent – as such, this has led fans to believe that Carter-Vickers and Taylor could be fit to play, while Hatate and Mooy are expected to be absent.

The last time the two teams met, Celtic were given a major scare by the Staggies – but managed to come away with the win regardless. In that game, Ross County drew first blood to go 1-0 up. The Bhoys soon turned the tables, as David Turnbull and Sead Haksabanovic both scored to give Celtic a 2-1 victory.

As mentioned earlier, Celtic are in first position in the Scottish Premiership. Their greatest rivals, Rangers, are currently posing little threat – there are nine points separating the two sides.

Meanwhile, Ross County are 11th in the table, just two points away from the bottom. A win against Celtic would pay dividends towards their survival campaign – but considering that the Celts have lost just a single game all season, they have a hell of a job on their hands.
