Scottish International Turns Down Free Transfer Move To Celtic Following Talks

Celtic have held talks with the representatives of Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, according to reports in the UK.

The Scottish international will leave the Cherries on June 30th after turning down a short term contract extension until the end of the Premier League season.

Celtic could snap up Fraser on a free transfer but it appears that, despite the Hoops being willing to hand the 26-year-old a substantial pay packet, the player is not believed to be interested in moving to Parkhead at this time.

The midfielder has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham in recent months and it is said that he wants to stay in England.

Whether that will change in the future, it remains to be seen. Fraser is reportedly keen on playing in Europe so there is a possibility that this transfer could be revisited later in the summer if he still hasn’t found a new club.
