Sky Confirms That Celtic Boss Is On Premier League Club’s 5 Man Shortlist

Postecoglou

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou remains in contention to become Tottenham’s next head coach, according to Sky Sports.

There have been reports in the Netherlands that Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is now the firm favourite to take up the vacant post at the English Premier League club.

However, it is believed that Spurs are still considering four other potential candidates, including Postecoglou, Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, Fulham’s Marco Silva and Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

At this stage, there is no indication that Tottenham will make a formal approach to talk with Postecoglou but it is something that Hoops fans should be aware of in the coming days and weeks.

The 57-year-old was also recently linked with Chelsea, although the Blues have seemingly settled on appointing Mauricio Pochettino instead.

Postecoglou has already won four trophies in two seasons since being appointed Celtic manager and he could make it five if the Glasgow side beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup final at the start of next month.

Would Postecoglou leave Celtic for Tottenham?

The Australian is believed to be completely focused on his work with the Hoops. Just a few days ago, he stated that he is still working on the club’s summer transfer plans.

However, an offer from Spurs would not be easy to turn down, considering the resources that they have at their disposal.
