Sky Pundit Criticises Celtic Star Who Is “An Accident Waiting To Happen”

Former Celtic winger Davie Provan has called on Hoops striker Leigh Griffiths to improve his discipline following a number of incidents since his return to the first-team fold.

The 29-year-old has played a prominent role after the winter break, having scored three goals in his last five games, but Sky Sports pundit Provan feels he should be controlling his temper better:

“Griff resembles an accident waiting to happen. He has to channel his anger properly. Not by throwing tape at punters or dissing Kris Boyd, but by putting the ball in the net.”

It’s always a fine line when it comes to footballer’s personalities. Some need that fire in the belly to go out and do the best they can, so they can contribute to the cause.

However, it can also undermine the squad if the anger boils over, and leads to sending offs and suspensions. At the moment, Griffiths is just staying on the right side of the line.

His partnership with Odsonne Edouard up front has certainly been bearing fruit recently and supporters will be hoping it fires Celtic to another league title.
