Southampton Eyeing Move For 4.6M Celtic Forward Just 3 Months After He Arrived In Scotland

Southampton are interested in signing Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Japanese international only moved from Vissel Kobe for £4.6m back in July but his performances at the start of the campaign have already attracted interest from the English Premier League side.

Southampton are no strangers to signing players from the Hoops, having snapped up Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama, Fraser Forster and Stuart Armstrong over the past ten years.

However, it would be a massive surprise if the Saints were to make a formal bid for Furuhashi just a few months after his arrival at the Scottish club.

The 26-year-old has had a superb start to life in Scotland, having scored eight goals and contributed one assist in only eleven appearances for Celtic. For that reason alone, you would think that the Hoops would fight tooth and nail to keep hold of him.
