There have been reports that Celtic could consider former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Andres Villas-Boas to replace Neil Lennon in the summer.
The Portuguese’s last job was at Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG which he left in November 2017. Since then, he has been trying his hand at rally driving.
When asked about the Celtic rumours, AVB’s agent Jean-Paul Lares was pretty emphatic with his response:
“Andre will not be working in Scotland in the foreseeable future and will not be available for comment.”
A lot of fans on Twitter don’t think the 41-year-old would be the right fit anyway:
No way. The guy will be our paul le guen

AVB teams do tend to play a brand a football more akin to what Celtic fans have become used to under Brendan Rodgers. However, his Spurs side was pretty defensive and relied on Gareth Bale for scoring goals.
His wage packet would also be pretty sizeable, and you would think that Celtic’s board would have to break the bank in order to hire the Portuguese manager, even if he were to become available.
