Celtic defender Carl Starfelt has played down reports that he could move to the Premier League this summer.
Trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that a number of English teams are interested in signing the Swedish international. When asked if he’d be open to a transfer south of the border, Starfelt replied:
“No, I like it very much as it is right now. My agent will take care of the rest and then if something comes up, we’ll deal with it then. But I have no thoughts right now except for Celtic.”
It seems as though Starfelt has no plans to leave Celtic Park anytime soon but fans on Twitter are still rather sceptical about whether he will stay in Glasgow:
They all say that

Good to read. He’s good and good to have consistency when it comes to the backline- wether that’s starters or squad .

Starfelt has been on the receiving end of his fair share of criticism over the last couple of years. The 27-year-old can look rather clumsy and he is prone to the odd error.
However, his partnership with Cameron Carter-Vickers has been pretty formidable. The Hoops have not lost in any competition this season when they have started together, which is extremely impressive considering the number of games that they have played.
