Celtic attacking midfielder Tom Rogic looked all set to leave Parkhead in the summer before a move to the Middle East collapsed, but he is now in contention to play against Rangers later this month after Ryan Christie was ruled out for the game.
Rogic did play the last 15 minutes in the 2-0 win against St Johnstone last weekend but that game was his only appearance for the Hoops this season, and there are big question marks over whether he’ll be fit enough to start.
Olivier Ntcham and David Turnbull would be the other two leading candidates to face Celtic’s Old Firm rivals and it has led to a debate on Twitter over who should be starting next week:
Time for the wizard of oz to step up next week

I wish. No chance Lennon starts him though it’ll be turnbull most likely

Rogic in the 10 with Mcgregor and Brown controlling midfield hopefully.

It's been a good while since he has played well against them. Will need energy in there I think.

Brown, McGregor and Ntcham will be his three

Has a better pedigree in those games than Christie

Rogic over Ntcham for me don’t get the hype with Ntcham I only see the odd good performance a lot of the time ineffective

Let's be honest, Christie has never performed against them. Rogic, and Ntcham both have.

Let's hope he goes with Rogic and not ntcham.

Considering Ntcham has been used in an advanced midfield role on a number of occasions this campaign, the Frenchman looks to be the favourite to start at Celtic Park, but Rogic’s pedigree in the derby will certainly make him a strong candidate.
