Tottenham Ace ‘Turned Down’ Celtic As He Looks Set To Seal Switch To English Championship

Tottenham forward Troy Parrott has “turned down” a loan move to Celtic in order to secure a switch to English Championship side Millwall, according to the Irish Independent.

There were six clubs, including Bournemouth, Stoke, Swansea and Preston, who were all interested in the Republic of Ireland international but the player has decided to make the switch to the Den to work under Gary Rowett.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon has publicly stated that the Scottish champions are looking to sign another forward. In addition to Parrott, the club have been linked with moves for Wolfsberger’s Shon Weissman, Union Berlin’s Sebastian Andersson and Peterborough’s Ivan Toney in recent days.

Parrott would have been a gamble as he has just four senior appearances under his belt, although the 18-year-old has been very prolific at youth level.

Despite Lennon being keen to add another forward, Celtic are not short of strikers with the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths and Patryk Klimala all available for selection.
