Two Celtic Players Named In UEFA’s Europa League Team Of The Week

Celtic pair Boli Bolingoli and Mohamed Elyounoussi have been named in UEFA’s Europa League team of the week after their performances against Cluj last night.

The Hoops were very impressive in the 2-0 win with the two players, in particular, standing out with their contribution to the two goals. Bolingoli was involved in the opener when he chipped in a ball from the byline for Odsonne Edouard to head home with just 20 minutes on the clock.

Elyounoussi, meanwhile, got in on the act during the second half. He initiated the counter-attack by winning the ball back in his own half before sprinting away and passing to James Forrest.

The Scottish international then passed the ball back to his teammate, whose shot was deflected in, to give the home side a two-goal lead just before the hour mark.

Celtic could have had more, but despite having 17 shots on goal during the 90 minutes and 56% possession they had to settle for just the two.
