Newcastle and Leicester are the two teams likeliest to make an offer for Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley before the transfer window shuts, according to reports in the UK.

The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Lille and Wolfsburg are also said to be keen on the Danish Under 21 international but the Hoops won’t let the player leave on the cheap.

It is believed that the Scottish champions will only consider offers for O’Riley if a team matches their valuation, which stands at £15m to £20m. The player was signed for just £1.5m from MK Dons back in January.

When Leicester were first linked with the 21-year-old last month, manager Ange Postecoglou was forced to respond to the transfer rumours, stating at the time he had not seen any indications that the player’s head had been turned.

No official bid has reportedly been tabled for O’Riley so far but that could change ahead of deadline day next week.
