‘Two Weeks Away’ Reports Makes Bold Claim As Doubts Increase About Howe’s Celtic Appointment

Celtic will announce the appointment of Eddie Howe as manager in the next two weeks, according to the Daily Record.

There has been growing speculation over the last 24 hours about the Englishman potentially joining Crystal Palace, following confirmation that Roy Hodgson will step down at the end of the season.

However, it is believed that Howe has no interest in moving to Selhurst Park, as he has already agreed in principle to take the job with the Hoops.

Uncertainty has increased around the 43-year-old’s appointment in recent weeks, with no official communication about whether he has committed to taking the hot seat at Celtic Park.

The main reason why no announcement has been made so far is that Howe is still trying to get a backroom team together. He is said to be keen on taking a number of his former staff from Bournemouth but they are currently involved in the Championship playoffs.

With the final taking place on May 29th, it is expected that Howe will be confirmed as manager after that date, which is “two weeks away”.
