Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard struck his fifth goal in nine games as the Hoops came out 2-0 winners against AIK Solna in the first leg of their Europa League playoff tie.
The Frenchman’s superb free-kick from 25 yards out was the biggest talking point of the night, and after the match, manager Neil Lennon praised the forward for his performances since the beginning of the campaign:
“Odsonne is playing brilliantly. He is in brilliant goalscoring form and is leading the line superbly. I can’t speak highly enough of his talent and mentality. He is becoming such an integral part and important figure in the team. His goal was absolutely outstanding.”
Supporters on Twitter was just as enthusiastic in their praise of the 21-year-old:

It was a good performance from the home side and they ensured they took a comfortable lead heading into the second match in Sweden next week.
In addition to Edouard, Christopher Jullien demonstrated why the club spent £7m on him in the summer with an excellent display, while Kristoffer Ajer looked superb at right-back.
James Forrest’s brilliant start to the season also continued with the winger bagging the opener three minutes after the interval before Edouard’s stunner.
