Celtic have appointed ex-Southampton scout Kevin Hamill, according to Football.Scotland Deputy Editor Mark Hendry.
The reliable journalist says the “vastly experienced” recruitment expert has joined the Hoops’ scouting department:

Ironically, Hamill was at Southampton when the Premier League club recruited a number of Celtic players, including Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama, Fraser Forster and even Artur Boruc.
He is known to have specialised in the Scottish transfer market during his time with the Saints so it will be hoped that his knowledge can expose some hidden gems.
Hamill is not the only scout that Celtic have hired recently. Joe Dudgeon has also moved from Manchester City, as the Scottish champions look to add more experitise.
Manager Ange Postecoglou has recently stated that recruitment for the summer transfer window is already under way, so it’s likely that Hamill and Dudgeon will be put to work straight away in order to identify promising targets.
