Celtic left-back Boli Bolingoli got his first taste of the derby last weekend. The 24-year-old rose to the challenge and was one of the standout performers in the 2-0 win.
Reflecting on his first Old Firm clash, the defender singled out Scott Brown. He remembers the moment that the club captain went in for a challenge against a Rangers player and realized what a leader he is:
“Damn, that’s a real captain.”

Fans on Twitter were enjoying the interview, although Bolingoli’s remarks were stating the obvious to many supporters:

Brown has always risen to the occasion in derbies, and despite some questioning whether his legs had gone at the age of 34, he showed at Ibrox he is far from finished.
The hunger and energy that the midfielder showed right through the 90 minutes set an example for the other ten players on the pitch. Going by Bolingoli’s own performance on the day, he followed the lead of his captain.
