West Ham Source Suggests Ajeti’s Move To Celtic Could Have Stalled

A reliable West Ham source, Twitter ITK ExWHUemployee, has claimed that Albian Ajeti is “unsure” about moving to Celtic and is delaying the move from going ahead.

Reports yesterday had suggested that the Swiss international was poised to join the Hoops on an initial season-long loan deal, but when asked about the forward on Twitter earlier today, ExWHUemployee said:

What may be keeping Ajeti from committing to signing for Celtic is the fact the Scottish champions do have the option of snapping him up on a permanent basis for £5m next summer.

The 23-year-old will feel that he needs to be playing regularly at club level ahead of Euro 2021, with Switzerland having qualified for the tournament.

For that reason, a switch to Celtic may make sense to him, but he may be hesitant about committing for the long term. Perhaps his former FC Basel teammate Mohamed Elyounoussi can persuade him into moving to Parkhead.
