Celtic right-back Jeremie Frimpong has been named in the SPFL team of the week after his performance in the 6-0 win against Ross County on Saturday.
The 18-year-old was surprisingly named in the starting eleven ahead of Hatem Abd Elhamed for the game but excelled on his first league appearances for the Hoops.
Frimpong supplied the pass for James Forrest to score the fifth goal during the rout, and he offered a constant threat on the right-hand side of the pitch. Supporters on Twitter believe the teenager is deserving of the accolade:
Outstanding performance from young Jeremie. What a talent!

The fullback only signed from Manchester City at the start of last month and wasn’t expected to feature too prominently in the first team this campaign.
However, manager Neil Lennon was very impressed with his debut in the League Cup against Partick Thistle, and it appears the Dutchman will get his chances for the first team as the season goes on.
