Celtic are on the verge of completing the signing of Brighton centre-back Shane Duffy on a season-long loan, according to reports in the Scottish media.
It was thought that a £2m loan fee would scupper any switch from going ahead but after the Irishman made it known that he wants a move to Parkhead, it seems a compromise may have been found.
The Hoops are believed to have beaten off the likes of West Ham and West Brom, and supporters on Twitter are now hoping that this deal can be finalised very soon:

This is a massive signing for us delighted with this ? if we can get a good quality LB in aswell our defence will improve tremendously I can’t see us conceding to many goals with Duffy at the back most importantly we will have more options at the back hopefully we keep Ajer tho

Manager Neil Lennon confirmed after the win against Motherwell yesterday that he expects more arrivals over the next couple of weeks, and it looks as though Duffy will be the next player in through the door.
The 28-year-old is a boyhood Celtic fan and he will certainly play with a lot of passion and desire for the Scottish club if the move goes through.
