3M Celtic Flop ‘In Talks’ With Russian Club Ahead Of Tuesday Transfer Deadline

Celtic left-back Boli Bolingoli could move to Russian Premier Liga side FK Ufa on loan, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The deadline for the Russian transfer window is Tuesday, and Rourke claims the Belgian defender is “in talks” ahead of a possible move:

Bolingoli has barely featured for the Hoops since he broke quarantine rules to make a trip to Spain in 2020. He was sent out on loan to Istanbul Basaksehir last season but he didn’t do enough to get himself a permanent transfer.

The 26-year-old returned to Glasgow in July, and he has only made two first-team appearances this campaign, coming in the defeat to Livingston and the win over Motherwell back in October.

Manager Ange Postecoglou hasn’t selected Bolingoli in a matchday squad since Boxing Day when he was an unused substitute in the 3-1 victory against St Johnstone.

The fullback was signed from Rapid Vienna for £3m, but Celtic have had no luck finding a buyer so another loan move seems to be on the cards.
