Celtic striker Adam Idah scored his 7th goal for the club in the 3-0 win over St Mirren at the weekend.
The 23-year-old joined on loan from Norwich City during the January transfer window and he has made a big impression since arriving in Glasgow.
It has been recently reported that Norwich would demand in excess of £6m to sell Idah permanently this summer and fans on X have been discussing whether the forward is worth the investment:

we must not always fall into the "let's spend less" argument because….if we continue to sign mediocre players at 2-3 million we will never grow, 3/4 additions but of real value

Idah is an investment for the future
While £6m is a lot of money for the Hoops, it could prove value for money in the long run. Idah has shown during his short time in Scotland that he is of the required standard to play in the Premiership.
That hasn’t always been the case when players have arrived from England on loan. Combined with that proven track record, his relatively young age means he is also likely to improve in the future.
If he does continue to hit the back of the net on a regular basis, Idah will be worth a lot more than £6m in a year or two.
Will Celtic stump up the cash?
Probably the more important question is whether the Hoops board would sanction such a sizeable bid. They have been notorious for going with the cheaper option in the past.
However, if this team is to progress, they need to invest in players like Idah who have bags of potential.
