Celtic and Arsenal both hold a “solid interest” in Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, according to the Chronicle.
The Newcastle based newspaper reports that both teams will consider offering the England Under 21 international a contract at the end of his current deal with the Magpies.
Woodman is not expected to stay at Newcastle beyond the end of the season after rejecting a contract last summer.
He is likely to spend his final campaign out on loan at an English Championship club before leaving on a free transfer next June. Two teams are reportedly vying to sign him, with a deal expected this week.
Woodman has played in Scotland before, having made 15 appearances for Kilmarnock during the 2016/17 season, as well as having another loan spell at Aberdeen in 2018.
The 22-year-old only played three times last campaign, all coming in the FA Cup, with Martin Dubravka firmly established as the Premier League club’s number one.
