Celtic Make Move For Former England U21 Star But Face Fight With Three Other Teams

Celtic want to tie up a deal for Bournemouth winger Jordan Ibe, according to the Daily Express. The English newspaper reports that the Hoops are hopeful of securing the ex-England Under 21 international on loan.

The Cherries want to sell the 23-year-old outright but have so far failed to find a club that will match their asking price. The Premier League club paid Liverpool £14m for the player just three years ago.

Celtic will have a battle on their hands to secure Ibe’s signature, though, with three major clubs on the continent also reportedly keeping tabs on the wide man.

Serie A sides Napoli and Fiorentina are said to be interested, while Turkish team Galatasaray are also believed to be tracking the midfielder.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon has said that he wants two wingers before the September 2nd transfer deadline, and it appears Ibe is one of his primary targets ahead of the window closing.
