Celtic Midfielder ‘Would Leap At A Move’ If EPL Club Return With Summer Bid

Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham “would leap at a move” to England if a Premier League club comes calling in the summer, according to the Scottish Sun.

Southampton reportedly made an enquiry about the Frenchman before the January transfer window closed, and it is believed that the Saints are now weighing up a bid for the 23-year-old in the summer.

Captain Pierre Emile Hojbjerg is said to be the subject of interest from Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton, and if the Danish international does depart St Mary’s, it seems as though Ntcham would be their preferred replacement.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon dismissed speculation about Ntcham’s future late last month, when West Ham were linked with the former France Under 21 international, and it’s likely that the Hoops would demand a sizeable sum to consider letting the midfielder leave Parkhead.

Ntcham remains a firm fixture in the club’s first team, having started 20 of his 33 appearances for the Scottish champions so far this campaign.
