Celtic winger Ben Doak has been impressing for Scotland’s Under 17 team during the international break.
The 16-year-old, who is reportedly set to join Liverpool, played a key role in helping the young Scots come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with the Czech Republic last week.
Doak got an assist with a superb piece of play, pirouetting on the ball in his own half before making a powerful run towards goal. His perfectly weighted through ball found its way to Rangers forward Rory Wilson who took the ball around the Czech keeper and scored. Supporters on Twitter conceded it was a great bit of skill, but were lamenting the fact that he is leaving Parkhead:

Shame he's off to Liverpool before actually making a name for himself at the team he's "supported all his life". I'll never understand that mentality. If I had the talent to play for the team I have supported all my life, I'd have to be dragged away from staying my whole career.

Considering that manager Ange Postecoglou has handed the teenager his senior debut this season, it does seem a bit strange that the midfielder has now decided that he wants to move on. You would have thought that being on the cusp of the first team with the Hoops is a much better position to be in than stuck in the reserves at Liverpool.
