Celtic may have lost 3-0 at home to Real Madrid last night but one player (in particular) still put in an outstanding performance for the Hoops.
Reo Hatate looked very impressive in midfield and, despite going up against an array of world-class players, the Japanese international did not look out of place whatsoever.
Fans on Twitter were quick to acknowledge Hatate’s efforts, even though the Scottish champions ultimately ended up on the losing side in the Champions League group game yesterday evening:
Reo Hatate was a standout tonight.
Plays with eyes in the back of his head, very special talent π―π΅

Hatate has been superb since the beginning of the campaign and he fully deserves all the plaudits coming his way at the moment.
The 24-year-old’s passing range is top notch and his ability to pick out a teammate, even when pressed by opponents, makes him a great asset to have. Full credit has to go to manager Ange Postecoglou who plucked him from the obscurity of Japanese football. It will be hoped that the midfielder remains at Celtic for many years to come.
