Agent Wants London Meeting To Force Through Brazilian Defender’s Move To Celtic

The agent of Fabricio Bruno has invited Cruzeiro director Marcelo Djian to London on Boxing Day for showdown talks about the defender’s future, according to the Brazilian club.

Cruzeiro claim Fabio Mello has been trying to orchestrate his client’s move to Celtic, with the Hoops having had a loan to buy offer rejected.

The proposal was reportedly a €300,000 (£257,000) loan deal, with a €2.5m (£2.14m) option to purchase Bruno. Cruzeiro say they are demanding a €1m (£860,000) loan plus a €4m (£3.43m) option to buy.

So far, the two sides have not come to an agreement, while there is now news that the player is trying to terminate his contract after wages and image rights were not paid.

It looks like an extremely complicated transfer which is getting increasingly bitter between the player and his club. It remains to be seen whether Celtic will look to make another offer or withdraw from the race completely.
