Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull has been backed to move to a bigger club after a successful season which has seen him pick up the SFA Young Player of the Year.
The 19-year-old scored 15 goals and contributed six assists in 30 league games, and has been touted as having the potential to go far in the game.
Some Celtic fans are hoping the Hoops make a move for Turnbull this summer:
He’s the only player in the Scottish top flight I’d be interested in. Looks to have all the tools to be top drawer

For me I would buy him and loan him back to Motherwell. Being their main man and playing week in week out will help is development. Dont see him getting enough game time straight away next year with brown,McGregor, christie etc

We should buy him & loan him out for a season to get more game time.?

I kind of agree, these guys are relatively low risk investments. However due to the pressure of next 2 campaigns we need a mix of experienced talent and guys like him.

Football’s changed and we have to move quicker for young talent than we did before.

We’re more likely to sign Joe Ledley on a free …

There’s no doubt that Celtic need to strengthen in central midfield. The likes of Eboue Kouassi, Nir Bitton and Olivier Ntcham may all move on after struggling for fitness and form this campaign.
Turnbull could be an option to offer the Scottish champions more creativity and energy in midfield, alongside the likes of Scott Brown and Callum McGregor.
The Motherwell star can also play wide on the left, and in a more attacking midfield role if required, and he certainly has room to develop his game considering he is still very young.
