BBC Journalist Claims Celtic Are “In Communication” With Agents Of 800K Rated Midfielder

Celtic are “in communication” with the representatives of Maccabi Haifa’s Mohammad Abu Fani, according to journalist Fraser Fletcher.

The reporter, who has worked for the BBC, has contradicted claims made by Football.Scotland‘s Deputy Editor Mark Hendry who said that the Hoops had no interest in Abu Fani:

As Fletcher says, Abu Fani’s agent, Dudu Dahan, is well known to the Hoops after working on previous deals for Nir Bitton, Ismaila Soro and Liel Abada but that isn’t necessarily proof that they want Abu Fani as well.

However, original reports about the Scottish club’s interest in the 24-year-old did come from Israel so Fletcher is just backing up what other sources have been saying about Celtic’s interest in the player

Abu Fani is believed to be available for just £800,000, which means he wouldn’t exactly be an expensive purchase for Ange Postecoglou’s side. For that reason alone, you wouldn’t completely rule out a move for the midfielder.
